The NSW Government and Healthy North Coast launched 4 new Safe Haven community support and wellbeing hubs across the Northern Rivers region to offer mental health support and community resilience.
Located in Lismore, Murwillumbah, Mullumbimby and Woodburn, Safe Haven hubs offer a free, drop-in service for anyone seeking mental health support, information and referrals. You don’t need to book – just walk in for a chat and a cuppa.
The official launch was held in Bundjalung Country at the Woodburn location.
Established and funded by Healthy North Coast through the New South Wales Government Northern NSW Flood Recovery Program, every Safe Haven is open 7 days a week, from 12-6pm.
Local organisation, The Buttery, will have clinical staff and peers with lived experience at each site to support anyone who walks in the door. There is no need for a booking or referral.
