What’s Changed?
North Coast Head to Health is now Medicare Mental Health.
We’ve rebranded — but we’re still the same trusted service, with the same caring staff.
There are now two Medicare Mental Health Centres in the North Coast region:
- Coffs Harbour Medicare Mental Health Centre
- Lismore Medicare Mental Health Centre
New and existing service users will continue to receive the same high-quality, compassionate care.

Medicare Mental Health Centres connect you with a range of mental health professionals, whether you’re looking for immediate support or ongoing care.
How It Works
Step 1: Start with an Assessment
We know reaching out can be hard — but the first step is simple.
You’ll start with a friendly assessment to help us understand your needs and connect you to the right support.
You can do this:
• By phone – Call 1800 595 212 (available weekdays 8:30 am–5:00 pm)
• Request a Call Back – Just fill out a short form
• Drop in – Visit a centre in Lismore or Coffs Harbour

Any time of the day or night, you can start your mental health support journey.

We offer consultation and information to all individuals who make contact with our service. We also provide an initial assessment with a Mental Health Clinician to understand your individual needs and help connect you to the right services for your circumstances.

North Coast Head to Health is now Medicare Mental Health
North Coast Head to Health centres have been rebranded and are now operating as Medicare Mental Health Centres. There are two Medicare Mental Health Centres in the North Coast region: Coffs Harbour Medicare Mental Health Centre and Lismore Medicare Mental Health Centre.
Please note, we will continue to provide the same service, with the same staff.
New and existing service users can continue to receive the same free, high-quality, compassionate mental health care at our Medicare Mental Health Centres (known formerly as North Coast Head to Health) when they need it.
