Author Kim Hodges and guest Inga Jensen will discuss their lived experience of mental illness during a special live online chat next week.
Kempsey Shire Libraries is hosting the event via Zoom on Wednesday 28 October from 4pm – 5:30pm.
During the chat, Kim and Inga will talk about destigmatising mental ill-health, mental health during COVID-19, and will also discuss Kim’s second memoir Girl Over the Edge.
As well as being an author, Kim is a mental health advocate and former academic. Girl Over the Edge is based on her life experience of mental illness between 2012 and 2017. During that time, she lived with severe depression, PTSD and general anxiety disorder.

Inga is a mental health advocate, mother and wife. She has been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder and anxiety as a result of early childhood trauma. By sharing her path to recovery, Inga brings understanding to complex trauma. Her story aims to spark hope for people in their recovery journey, remove the stigma from mental ill-health and educate parents.
Anyone interested in attending the online chat can register via the Mid North Coast Co-Operative Library Service website. After registering, you will receive access details for the Zoom meeting.
