On Thursday 5 February, at Pacific Bay Resort in Coffs Harbour, Healthy North Coast welcomed 39 RACGP general practice registrars who have started their training in the region.
The event marked the beginning of their training placements across local general practices and their contribution to strengthening primary care in the region.
The HealthPathways team provided the registrars an overview of the service, showcasing its value and how it can be used in everyday practice.

HNC also hosted a welcome dinner for the new cohort of registrars, with representatives from RACGP and Joint Colleges Training Services.
Dr Adrian Gilliland, Chair of Healthy North Coast’s Board, and Ingrid Sivertsen, Associate Director Primary Health Programs, outlined the different ways that HNC can support practitioners, including education opportunities, networking events, digital health initiatives and quality improvement programs.
Welcome Experience Connector Sarah Soto also introduced the Welcome Experience program, highlighting the practical and social support available to help registrars and their families settle into the community.
Healthy North Coast is proud to support our future health workforce, and to help build the capacity the region’s health providers for the benefit of the community.
