Are you a practice nurse passionate about improving allergy care in your community?
The Allergy Care and Education (ACE) Nurse Pilot is a unique opportunity for regional and rural practice nurses to build their expertise in allergy management and education and help improve access to allergy care in communities across Australia.
The second round intake of this pilot program is being undertaken as part of the National Allergy Council’s Shared Care for Allergy program which aims to improve access to quality care for people with an allergy, especially for people who live in rural, regional and remote Australia.
This program has been funded by the Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing.
What’s included?
- Professional Certificate in Allergy Nursing (UniSA) course fees
- Virtual registration fees to attend the ASCIA Allergy Update for Nurses online
- Join a national ACE nurse Community of Practice
- Deliver allergy education in clinic/general practice where you work, post-training
Who can apply?
- Registered nurses working in general practice or community health in MM2–MM7 locations
- Nurses interested in setting up or supporting an allergy education service
- Applicants with employer support and a willingness to apply new skills in practice
