The Mid and North Coast HealthPathways team is celebrating the success of their medication audit tool.
The tool was developed as part of a local quality improvement activity to identify potential deviations in HealthPathways content from guidelines for displaying on-screen medication data.
The audit tool was discussed during networking events at the recent HealthPathways Conference and ultimately caught the attention of the lead clinical advisor, who has now endorsed the audit tool for use to ensure the quality of HealthPathways data throughout NSW and the ACT.
The team’s achievement has been praised, with the tool being quoted as:
“Probably providing greater safety than the ACSQHC guidance.”
Mid and North Coast HealthPathways offer several medication-specific pages, including the recently updated Antipsychotic Medication and ADHD Medications for Children and Adolescents pages.
This endorsement speaks volumes about the team’s commitment to improving healthcare practices in the region.
