Healthy North Coast is looking for general practitioners, practice managers, and pharmacists to share your insights on patient engagement with Electronic Prescriptions (EP) and Active Script Lists (ASL).
Your participation will shape future initiatives and educational resources, contributing to a safer and more efficient healthcare system.
In an era where digital health is transforming the landscape of health care, the importance of medicine safety cannot be overstated. The Australian Digital Health Agency’s Digital Health Blueprint (2023–2033) outlines a ten-year vision for a more connected and sustainable health system.
It emphasises the critical role of digital health capabilities in delivering person-centred care, ensuring that patients receive the right medication at the right time. Similarly, the NDHS 2023-2028 sets a pathway for Australia’s digital health future, focusing on creating an inclusive, sustainable, and digitally enabled healthcare system.
Engaging healthcare professionals in medicine safety initiatives
To achieve these goals, it is essential to hear from general practitioners, practice managers, and pharmacists about their experiences in discussing and promoting Electronic Prescriptions (EP) and Active Script Lists (ASL) to your patients.
These digital tools are pivotal in enhancing medicine safety by reducing prescription errors, improving medication adherence, and facilitating better communication between healthcare providers and patients.
Join our focus group on Wednesday 16 April, 1-2pm
We invite General Practitioners, Practice Managers, and Pharmacists to participate in focus groups aimed at exploring the following topics:
- Promotion of EP and ASL: How are you currently promoting these tools to your patients?
- Barriers to adoption: What are the challenges preventing you from using or promoting EP and ASL?
- Consumer engagement: Insights on how patients are engaging with EP and ASL, and recommendations for educational materials to increase uptake.
Your participation will provide valuable insights that will help shape future initiatives and educational resources, ultimately contributing to a safer and more efficient healthcare system.
