The Opioid Treatment Accreditation Course (OTAC) Scholarship supports general practitioners and nurse practitioners in regional, remote and metropolitan areas in NSW to complete the training program, become accredited prescribers of opioid pharmacotherapies, and to prescribe opioid pharmacotherapies for the treatment of opioid dependence.
Scholarship value
Successful applicants will receive a scholarship valued at up to $2,000 per recipient in each scholarship round.
Eligibility criteria
General practitioners and nurse practitioners, who are currently working in general practice or private settings in regional, rural and metropolitan areas in New South Wales, including Aboriginal Medical Services or other community
– based clinics are eligible to apply.
The OTAC Scholarships primarily support healthcare professionals based
in regional and remote areas of NSW, although all metropolitan applicants may
apply, priority for scholarship allocation will be given to those working in regional, rural and outer metro areas in NSW.
