Many people in our community provide support to a family member, friend, or neighbour, often without ever calling themselves a carer.
You might help someone get to appointments, manage medications, organise daily tasks, offer emotional support, or simply check in regularly to make sure they’re okay.
If others depend on you in these ways, you’re already playing a caring role in their life.
We know that people who provide this kind of support don’t always receive the recognition or assistance they deserve. That’s why we’re inviting community members to take part in a short survey. Your experience can help shape better support, resources, and services for people who provide care — whether or not they’ve ever used the word “carer” to describe themselves.
Why your voice matters
By taking just a few minutes to complete the survey, you can help:
- Make sure your needs and challenges are understood
- Improve access to resources and support
- Strengthen the network of services available for people who provide care
Your insight is valuable, and it helps build a more connected and supportive community for everyone.
Take the ‘community survey’ on our Recognising Carers page now.
If you think this might apply to someone you know, please feel free to share it. Every response helps.
