Services Australia, the Australian Digital Health Agency and clinical software vendors have been working together to upgrade the National Authentication Service for Health (NASH) solution. NASH SHA-1 (current solution) will now transition to the upgraded NASH SHA-2 security protocols.

The NASH SHA-2 security protocol upgrade affects the steps you take to renew your NASH certificate.
To navigate the change you will need to know whether your current NASH certificate type is still a SHA-1.
Follow the instructions below according to whether your NASH certificate type has been upgraded to the SHA-2 or not.

Check your current NASH PKI certificate type and expiry date:
Check the action required and follow the corresponding steps to revoke or renew your certificate.
For organisations using Genie:
Contact your software vendor for support to install the PKI certificate after download has been completed.
