Registrations are open for a free health event that will bring together health consumers, community representatives, health professionals and academics from across Northern NSW.
The day-long conference is an initiative of the Community Engagement Advisory Council – the peak community advisory group for North Coast Primary Health Network and the Northern NSW Local Health District.
The theme is Improving Health – Everybody’s Business, Everyone’s Responsibility and the conference will feature a range of interesting speakers.
The headline speaker is respected researcher and author, Dr Ray Moynihan.
His address is titled: Too much medicine and how asking questions can help you avoid it.
Other topics include:
- The interface between the National Disability Insurance Scheme and the health system
- How to manage pain successfully
- Healthy interventions for hips and knees – before and after surgery
- How to take charge of your health
