LGBTQ+ people can face unique stigmas, discrimination and barriers to disclosing sexual violence.
ACON offers a free Sexual Violence Consult Service which provides consultation, training and guidance to services that provide support to LGBTQ+ people who have experienced sexual violence, with the goal of strengthening service provision.
It’s open to any service providing support to LGBTQ+ communities anywhere in NSW, including:
- Sexual health, domestic and family violence services
- Mental health services (including individual clinicians and peer workers)
- Alcohol and other drugs services
- + more
Support can be provided through 1:1 consultation, policy review, and training – either online or in person.
