At the Hub2 in Coffs Harbour, 20 health professionals were recently provided with training in Provider Digital Access (PRODA).
PRODA is a secure digital identity verification system developed by the Australian Government. Its primary purpose is to ensure the privacy and security of sensitive information while enabling authorised individuals to access online government services conveniently.
The 20 participants were a mix of GP practice managers, office managers, finance officers, and other admin staff, with a mix of new and experienced users.
Newer users were taken through the basics of PRODA by Rachel Gorman, Primary Health Coordinator at Healthy North Coast, while more experienced users were guided by Glen Murdoch from Services Australia for a deeper dive into the tool.
