As the storm season approaches and electricity blackouts are more frequent, necessary precautions are needed to be made to ensure vaccines are protected.
Below are some key tips to prepare:
If you have a cold chain breach please notify PHU on 1300 066 055. A cold chain breach has occurred if vaccine storage temperatures have been outside the recommended range of +2°C to +8°C. It excludes fluctuations up to +12°C, lasting no longer than 15 minutes, as this may occur when stocktaking or restocking refrigerators.
