Women with physical disability are being sought to take part in research being conducted in the NNSWLHD Women’s Health Nurse-led clinics. The Women’s Health Nurses are calling for women who are due for cervical screening to attend the clinics in Northern NSW to have cervical screening tests, in particular self-collect screening tests.
What is involved?
Women who attend the women’s health clinics across the LHD, including women who can be provided with the screening service at home, will be invited to share their experience via a short telephone interview. The study will involve women sharing their experience of the self-collected screening test and barriers and facilitators regarding cervical screening in regional NSW.
Eligibility criteria
Women aged 25-74 years, who are due or overdue for their cervical screening test, have a physical disability, who attend the WHN clinic and opt to self-collect their cervical screening test are eligible to be invited into the project.
