Anyone entering Queensland from NSW now needs a Queensland Border Declaration Pass. Travellers can apply for a pass here.
From 1:00am on Tuesday 22 December, any visitor who has been in a COVID-19 hotspot in NSW in the past 14 days will be unable to enter Queensland. People wishing to travel to Queensland from NSW should check the current list of hotspots here.
Hard border closures are also being introduced with checkpoints being established on major roads at the Queensland-New South Wales border crossing.
