The Provider Connect Australia platform is now available to health organisations in an initial phase of ‘real-world’ testing.
Provider Connect Australia was developed by the Australian Digital Health Agency (ADHA). It will change how you update information about your healthcare services and practitioners, ending the need to update multiple directories manually.
Provider Connect Australia reduces duplication and streamlines notifications for general practice, Aboriginal medical services, private specialists, allied health professionals, local health districts and pharmacists.
Once registered, simply update your business information with Provider Connect Australia and it will automatically be sent to your nominated hospitals, pathology and radiology services, public service directories, secure messaging providers and more.
This means only one copy of your organisation’s details needs to be kept, with chosen business partners automatically updated whenever any details change. This saves you time, reduces human error, and removes the hassle of filling out multiple forms.
Security is a key design element of Provider Connect Australia and adheres to Australian Government security requirements. It has been built using FHIR.
Provider Connect Australia is in the last month of its initial phase which focuses on real-world testing to provide user feedback as part of ADHA’s final checks and sign off on the product build.
If you are interested in joining the initial stage of Provider Connect Australia and providing important feedback about your experience, or if you want further information please email: [email protected] or contact your Primary Health Coordinator.
