It’s important to get help when you need it. It can be hard to ask for help, but the sooner you do, the better you’ll be able to cope.
The Black Dog Institute offers up to five free clinical sessions with one of its clinical psychologists or psychiatrists. These sessions are offered Australia-wide via telehealth or face-to-face at the institute’s clinic in Sydney.
No referral, Medicare, or GP information is required, and all frontline health workers are eligible for the service. The Black Dog Institute’s ‘The Essential Network (TEN) Clinical Service’ is not funded by Medicare. Your interactions with the service won’t be recorded on My Health Record.
Before starting these sessions, a Black Dog Institute clinician will call you for a brief conversation about your needs and answer any questions you may have about the service. You do not need to provide your personal information (other than name and contact phone number) for this initial call.
