On Wednesday 23 February, the Port Macquarie and Hastings Clinical Society will discuss adolescent mental health.
The number of young people reaching out for mental health services has led to an increase in youth-focused mental health interventions in the Port Macquarie and Hastings region.
Navigating these pathways for treatment requires clinicians to better understand treatment models for adolescent patients (and how they differ from adult treatment), as well as know what local and online options are available.
Dr Andy Williams, a general practitioner at Port Macquarie Medical Centre, will lead the online discussion. It will focus on local youth mental health services and referral pathways for managing adolescent mental health in the Port Macquarie Hastings area.
