parkrun is a volunteer-led community activity that encourages social connectivity and promotes physical and mental wellbeing. Establishment of the Horseshoe Bay parkrun in South West Rocks has been co-funded by North Coast Primary Health Network as part of the Healthy Towns program and the Mid North Coast Local Health District. Healthy Towns works in collaboration with North Coast communities to increase social connections, improve health service integration and co-ordination, and identify any health service gaps. South West Rocks is one of the communities Healthy Towns is working with in 2018/2019. Initiatives such as parkrun help to strengthen connectivity to support community health and wellbeing.
