Through a network of doctors’ health advisory and referral services, DRS4DRS offers an independent, safe, supportive and confidential service.
The website details supports that can be accessed 24/7 for doctors and medical students across Australia. As well, it offers strategies to assist with the many aspects of managing a busy professional life.
The site also provides guidance on supporting a medical colleague. Doctors who see doctors as patients can find helpful information about managing the doctor-patient consult and access online learning modules about caring for colleagues. The free two-hour CPD-accredited education module is available here.
Complementing existing services, DRS4DRS offers a confidential telehealth service specifically for doctors and medical students who are struggling with their mental health. Call 1300 374 377.
