New dates and locations have been added for BreastScreen NSW’s mobile unit. The pink bus offers free breast screening for women aged over 40 to help find breast cancer early.
Nambucca Heads
7 -26 February 2018 at Bellwood Park, Riverside Drive.
Kempsey
Early February to early May 2018 at Kempsey Base Hospital.
Bellingen
26 February – 3 March 2018 at Bellingen Showgrounds, Black Street.
Bowraville
Mid to late May 2018 in Bowra Street.
Dorrigo
Late May to early June 2018 in Hickory Street.
Tweed Heads, Coffs Harbour and Port Macquarie
All year round at the Base Hospital sites.
Lismore
All year round at 29 Uralba Street.
9 in 10 women diagnosed with breast cancer do not have a family history.
Finding breast cancer early improves survival.
BreastScreen mammograms are free for all women over the age of 40.
Women aged 50-74 are actively encouraged to attend for screening every two years.
Appointments take only 20 minutes.
