The Mid North Coast Local Health District (MNCLHD) invites GPs and practice nurses to take part in an exciting webinar showcase opportunity.
The Leading Better Value Care virtual showcase will be an opportunity to learn how the collaborative service works and look at the outcomes achieved so far. The case studies presented on the night will be on the Osteoarthritis Chronic Care (OACCP) initiative and the successful Knee and Hip Arthritis Service at the Tweed Hospital in the Northern NSW Local Health District.

“These case studies seek to identify and implement opportunities for delivering value based care to the people of the MNC and are excellent examples of the impact of the Leading Better Value Care project,” said Siggy Haveland, Leading Better Value Care Project Manager.
“Highlights from these initiatives include improved knee and hip function (reported by 73% of participants), improved pain score (69%) and improved walking on flat ground (2 out of 3). Dr Jason Tsung (VMO Orthopaedic Surgeon), Dr Brett Lynam (GP) and Evan Bryant (Physiotherapist) will be among the speakers talking through how these improvements were made. Furthermore, there will be information provided by local MNCLHD clinicians on the services and referral pathways for the OACCP service, as well as the Osteoporosis Re-fracture Prevention (ORP), Diabetes High Risk Foot, Direct Access Colonoscopy and Wound Management initiatives.”
“If you cannot make the live webinar on Wednesday 17 March, we encourage you to register anyway. That way we can send you a link to the webinar recording so you don’t miss out. And don’t forget to share with your colleagues.”
This webinar will be supported by Healthy North Coast through the use of LiveWebinar.
