Healthy North Coast has released two new resources – a Palliative Care Fact Sheet and a Palliative Care on the North Coast Booklet – designed to support people living with a life-limiting illness, their families, and the people who care for them.
These resources provide clear, localised and compassionate information to help individuals and families understand what palliative care is, how it can help, and where to find support across our region.
They also include practical guidance on planning ahead, navigating services, and knowing what to expect at different stages of illness.
Whether you’re supporting a loved one, planning ahead for yourself, or simply wanting to understand what help is available, these resources aim to make the journey a little easier.
What’s inside:
- What palliative care is and how it supports quality of life
- Where to find services on the NSW North Coast
- Support for carers
- Information on planning ahead, including advance care planning
- Clear, accessible language and local pathways
Your GP, nurse or health professional may also share printed copies with you.
These new resources are part of Healthy North Coast’s commitment to helping people live and die well – staying connected, supported and informed at every stage.
