Healthy North Coast invites not-for-profit community organisations and non-government organisations to respond to an Expression of Interest to deliver the 2024 Community Wellbeing and Resilience (CWR) program.
The 2024 CWR program seeks to benefit communities across the whole North Coast Region – from Tweed Heads to Port Macquarie – helping to recover from the health and wellbeing impacts of natural disasters and build their capacity to adapt to future compounding challenges.
The EOI can be accessed on Healthy North Coast’s TenderLink Portal.
Healthy North Coast is undertaking a participatory grant making (PGM) approach to this round of funding. PGM prioritises partnerships and trust-building over the more traditional competitive grant making approaches.
The 2024 Community Wellbeing and Resilience program will focus upon activities that promote:
- Local knowledge and leadership to enhance community capacity and decision making.
- Building social capital, including strong social connections, cohesion, partnerships, trust and belonging.
- Practical place-based solutions that address community health and wellbeing needs.
As a requirement of funding, successful applicants of the EOI round will be invited to participate in collaborative face-to-face participatory grant-making workshops. The facilitated workshops will be an opportunity to:
- Give and receive feedback on proposals/concepts
- Change proposals/concepts and/or collaborate with other participants and
- Evaluate proposals and make recommendations through peer evaluation
The tender opened on TenderLink Thursday 21 March 2024 and will close 5pm Thursday 18 April 2024.
An EOI briefing will be held Wednesday 3 April 10-11am. Please email [email protected] if you would like to attend, or have any questions about the EOI.
