Thank you to Uncle Gilbert Laurie, who welcomed the Healthy North Coast Board and staff to Bundjalung Country and performed a traditional smoking ceremony as part of the official opening of our new office space in Lismore yesterday.
Healthy North Coast, who delivers the Australian Government’s Primary Health Network (PHN) program on the North Coast, is pleased to have re-opened our Lismore office after moving from Carrington Street last year.
Now located at Suite 10 in the Conway Plaza, 21 Conway Street (next to the post office), Healthy North Coast is looking forward to welcoming the community, clinicians and service partners to our new space.
Healthy North Coast Chief Executive Julie Sturgess said the new office was spacious, modern and welcoming. Its design is open plan and features specially commissioned Aboriginal artworks, a board room and video-conferencing facilities in a space designed to bring people together.

“I’m looking forward to our Lismore team sharing this new space with the community and our local health partners.
We work alongside our communities and primary health care providers to collectively plan for primary health services and work toward better health outcomes on the North Coast. This is a wonderful location in the heart of Lismore and a great place to work and see the programs we fund come to fruition.”Julie Sturgess, Healthy North Coast Chief Executive
Ms Sturgess said the Healthy North Coast Board of Directors had been the first to take advantage of the new office, meeting there this week.
Northern Rivers commercial building specialists Bennett Constructions undertook the project to refurbish the Conway Plaza site.
The new office will be open Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm. Lismore locals are invited to drop by to say hello and learn more about the work of Healthy North Coast and our North Coast PHN program.
