The HealthPathways team would like to introduce and extend a warm welcome to their new Clinical Editor team members, Cameron James and Mary Tullipan.
Cameron and Mary commenced at the end of 2023. Read a bit more about them below:
Dr Cameron James
- I’m a General Practitioner/Rural Generalist with additional skills in anaesthesia and emergency medicine. I have been in the Mid North Coast for the last 8 years and have worked in a wide scope of practice in clinical and non-clinical roles.
- I appreciate the clinical and organisational guidance that has come with HealthPathways, and the benefit that comes with having a shared mental model through the health system. Having an opportunity to tie into that and build this further is a privilege.
- On the side, I enjoy having adventures with friends and family, camping, hiking, exploring. I have an enthusiastic border collie cross poodle, who delights in running to the neighbour’s yard (they keep feeding him treats). I run most days and love being part of the community in Port Macquarie.
Mary Tullipan
- I am a pharmacist with experience in a variety of health care sectors; initially working in clinical roles in hospitals before more recently working as a consultant pharmacist in primary care, residential aged care and in quality improvement programs.
- I felt that Healthy North Coast’s vision of healthier communities through quality primary healthcare is aligned with my area of interest in collaborative team-based approaches in primary care.
- I take any opportunity I can to travel but hate going without my husband and kids, I love the simple things in life, like taking my kids to the park or for ice cream, and I love collecting books. I proudly own all the Australian first editions of the Harry Potter series that I lined up for as a kid to get the day they were released.
HealthPathways offers primary care clinicians locally agreed information to make the right decisions, together with their patients, at the point of care.
Would you be interested in working with Mid and North Coast HealthPathways, too? They are currently seeking expressions of interest to join a working group to develop pathways about early interventions for healthy ageing and palliative care. Find out more.
