Since publishing the Health System Demand in the North Coast report in May 2021, Healthy North Coast has been progressing its Primary Care Access project.
The Primary Care Access project focuses on developing sustainable and innovative solutions to better manage health system demand and improve access to health care across the North Coast.
To further support the codesign and commissioning process, a data update has been compiled and is now available. The Data Update November 2021 includes more recent data regarding low-urgency emergency department (ED) presentations and general practice (GP) service use.
The report details:
- low urgency ED presentation data
- the COVID-19 effect
- use of GPs
- national comparisons
- preventable hospitalisation data
The Primary Care Access codesign process commences next Tuesday 30 November, and continues until 8 February 2022.
We are excited and privileged to have a range of local informants, experts and stakeholders on this journey with us, including consumers, GPs, frontline workers, youth advocates, Aboriginal health leaders and shortlisted providers.
Please visit the Primary Care Access webpage for further project details.
