Researchers at the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse are conducting a qualitative study to investigate survivorship needs for patients who have been diagnosed with head and neck cancer.
General practitioners who have experience in caring for patients undergoing head and neck cancer management are invited to share their understanding of the survivorship needs of patients in regional and rural areas of NSW.
The study requires GPs to participate in one audio-recorded interview, in which they will be asked to recall their clinical experiences relating to the survivorship needs of this population. These interviews will be conducted via videoconferencing and will take between 45-60 minutes.
To be eligible, GPs must be currently practising in regional or remote areas of NSW and have been involved in the management of head and neck cancer survivors.
GPs interested in participating should read the participant information sheet here. This study has been approved by Ethics Review Committee (RPAH Zone) of the Sydney Local Health District.
