The Australian Immunisation Handbook is now available online, along with videos about the science of immunisation and a document providing answers to common questions about vaccination.
The digital handbook contains the most up-to-date recommendations for the use of vaccines in Australia. Immunisation providers can give patients the best possible advice regarding vaccine preventable diseases.
Those working offline will be able to download relevant sections to their devices or for printing. Providers are encouraged to submit feedback to support ongoing refinement and development of the digital handbook site.
Questions about vaccination provides answers to many common questions about vaccination. It is designed:
- to help parents find out more about vaccines and the most recent evidence about their safety and effectiveness.
- to help doctors answer questions from their patients.
Hard copies can be ordered from the Department of Health’s website.
The Australian Academy of Science and the Australian Department of Health have produced a series of short videos and in-depth articles. The videos and resources can be viewed on the Australian Academy of Science website.
