To mark World Contraception Day (26 September 2018), Marie Stopes Australia has created a new web resource to help women re-assess their contraception at various life stages and reflect on a broader range of contraceptive alternatives that might suit them.
To help facilitate contraception information exchange between practitioners and patients, Marie Stopes Australia has created a specialised contraception kit for your practice.
Each kit includes:
- Campaign posters; perfect for familiarising patients with the concept of reviewing their birth control methods.
- Method brochures for display on your coffee tables that help break down each contraception method; how they work, the benefits and pitfalls, with up-to-date typical efficacy rates.
- A deck of flip cards; these cards are a valuable tool for explaining the range of available methods with patients, easily and clearly displaying each method available in Australia.
- Take away cards; these cards provide patients with the URL to our contraceptive match quiz, so they can do the preliminary research at home on their own or with their partner.
Download a decision guide
You can also download and print a ‘Decision Making Conversation Guide’ for your patients. Similar to the’“Find Your Perfect Partner’ quiz, it provides an easy-to-navigate flowchart that covers some basic questions in the contraception decision making process.
