As a nurse, you play a pivotal role in supporting people living with diabetes.
Diabetes in Practice for Nurses is a person-centred, evidence-based eLearning program that incorporates contemporary health literacy principles. The course enables you to better explain diabetes and how to manage it. It will help you to answer questions asked in a consultation and provide you with the information on who, and where, to direct your patients for more information and support.
Diabetes in Practice for Nurses was developed by the Chronic Disease Education team at Diabetes NSW & ACT for Diabetes Qualified. The course takes approximately 12 hours to complete and is endorsed for 12 CPD hours with the Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association.
Currently, the National Diabetes Services Scheme is providing partial funding for 300 nurses to complete the Diabetes in Practice for Nurses program. The subsidised rate is $110 per person. Please use Coupon Code “NDSS110” to access the discounted rate or contact Diabetes Qualified on 1300 727 194.
