The rollout of the COVID-19 vaccination program across the North Coast is continuing, safely and methodically.
There is a clear vaccine rollout schedule, and we are still on track to have everyone who wants to be vaccinated able to do so by the end of the year.

Phase 1b of the program commenced on 22 March. Several thousand residents have been vaccinated and we anticipate this will increase significantly in the coming weeks and months. .
Not surprisingly, the recent extreme weather and flooding caused some initial vaccine delivery delays, with some general practices needing to reschedule appointments.
People are urged to be patient if they haven’t been able to make a vaccination appointment with their regular GP. Vaccination doses are presently limited but will increase in coming months.
Many of the Australian Government’s general practice respiratory clinics are also administering the COVID-19 vaccine. Participating clinics are located in Murwillumbah, Ballina, Casino, Yamba, Nambucca Heads and Kempsey.
People living in residential aged care facilities have been receiving their vaccinations as part of Phase 1a. This stage of the program is well under way and some residents are now starting to receive their second, and final, jab.
Some Aboriginal medical services have commenced vaccinations and the rollout will gather pace over coming weeks.
