Community pharmacies to join COVID-19 vaccination rollout
The Australian Government has announced that from 26 July 2021 onward, more than 3,900 community pharmacies who expressed interest in joining the COVID-19 vaccine rollout, and who have previously been found suitable, will be invited to participate in the COVID-19 vaccination program.
Participating community pharmacies will administer AstraZeneca vaccines from mid-August. In addition, community pharmacies will be invited to support the rollout of the Moderna vaccine from September.

TGA approves Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for use in people aged 12 to 15
The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) has provisionally approved the use of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine (Comirnaty) in individuals aged 12 years and older. Previously, Comirnaty was provisionally approved for individuals aged 16 years or older.
The Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI) is reviewing the evidence on the safety and efficacy of Comirnaty in this age group and is in the process of developing updated recommendations. ATAGI has advised these will be made available shortly.
Eligibility criteria for accessing a COVID-19 vaccine has not changed.
