Last week, Healthy North Coast staff were joined by Amplar Health, the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia and local primary care clinicians to promote the expansion of the North Coast Health Connect service to Coffs Harbour, Nambucca and Bellingen postcodes.
The launch event was held at TerryWhite Chemmart Coffs Harbour, marking the full service coverage for the Mid North Coast region.
North Coast Health Connect has been available to communities in the Port Macquarie and Kempsey areas, with over 1,000 phone calls and web chats to the service since its launch in mid-December 2022.
Community promotion
To raise awareness of the North Coast Health Connect service, community channels such as social media, search engine marketing, and printed materials are being utilised. Additionally, local services and community organisations can access a consumer promotion kit to promote the 1800 number and web chat link in their areas. Printed posters and wallet cards are also available.
North Coast Health Connect is funded by Healthy North Coast through the PHN Program, delivered by Amplar Health (a business of Medibank Health Solutions Pty Ltd ABN 99 078 934 791) and supported by the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia. The service will be evaluated by The George Institute.
