As we come to the end of another challenging year for our North Coast community, I would like to pay tribute to the incredible dedication and professionalism of our wonderful GPs, pharmacy staff, Aboriginal medical service staff, allied health and all our other primary health care providers.
The pressure on our region’s healthcare frontline has been relentless. I sincerely thank you all for the way you responded day after day to keep our community as safe as possible from the worst of COVID. Thanks to your efforts and our residents’ response, our regional vaccination rates are up there with the highest in the country.
As we all transition to living with COVID in the community, we cannot deny that new challenges lie ahead, but I feel our strong partnerships, collaborative approach and the systems and processes we have put in place this year will stand us in good stead.
While most of our organisation will close from this Friday 5 pm to Tuesday 4 January 2022, key staff will still be available for critical functions and to respond in emergency situations. Learn more here.
All of us at Healthy North Coast wish you a safe and peaceful Christmas. We hope you have time to reconnect with family and friends.
Take care and we’re committed to working with you in 2022.
