Expressions of interest for the Avant Foundation’s 2022 grants program are closing soon. Funding up to $100,000 per project is available to support current or planned projects that focus on quality, safety and professionalism.
Since 2018, the program has funded small and large research, training, education and leadership initiatives that improve how healthcare is practised – leading to better outcomes for doctors, staff and the community.
The Avant Foundation is committed to supporting practices through the expression of interest process, which is designed to assess how well the project aligns with the objectives and purpose of the foundation’s goals.
Expressions of interest are accepted until 30 January for:
- initiatives that develop and support leadership capability
- academic research that drives a reduction in medico-legal and clinical risk
- quality improvement initiatives in a clinical setting
- education initiatives that focus on quality, safety and professionalism.
The Avant Foundation is especially interested in genomics, safe communication using digital platforms, telehealth compliance, improvement initiatives relating to COVID-19, and the impacts of medical regulation on practitioner wellbeing.
