MNCLHD Public Dental Services offers accessible options for aged care residents in need of dental care.
Eligible NSW residents with a Medicare card and a concession card (Health Care, Pensioner Concession, or Commonwealth Seniors Health Card) can access services through public dental clinics or via the Oral Health Fee for Service Scheme (OHFFSS).
The OHFFSS provides vouchers for private dental practitioners when specific care needs or waiting list benchmarks are met.
Vouchers include options for urgent care, general care (excluding dentures), and denture care. Public dental staff assess whether a voucher is appropriate based on treatment requirements and waiting list codes.
