During Reconciliation Week, North Coast Primary Health Network is hosting a two-day conference for Aboriginal health workers in Coffs Harbour on May 30 and 31.
The first day of the conference features a Red Dust Healing Workshop using an ancient Aboriginal perspective to support people to explore and heal unresolved hurt, anger, grief, loss and other life issues.
Facilitator Tom Powell uses holistic tools in a way to empower individuals to make better choices in their lives.
The second day of the conference focuses on chronic disease including the impact of trauma, abuse and neglect on the development of chronic disease and practical ways in Aboriginal Outreach Workers can make use of this knowledge.
