Did you know that the Department of Veterans Affairs provides health checks for all former serving Australian Defence Force (ADF) members?
These give ADF veterans a comprehensive health check with a general practitioner.
Early intervention and targeted referrals can help veterans enjoy better health. They can also help them to manage their health as they move to civilian life.
All former ADF members are eligible to access the one-off Veteran Health Check with a GP. Those who left the ADF after 1 July 2019 are also eligible for an annual health check for the first five years after leaving.
