The story so far
Last year we invited people in our region to complete an online survey about health literacy. The answers from the survey were used to create short stories showing the challenges people face while looking after their mental health, or when caring for others. They were discussed at workshops attended by local people with a lived experience of mental ill-health, community organisations and health providers. Lots of ideas came out of those workshops, and we would like to thank everyone involved for taking part and sharing their experiences and ideas.
The next stage of the project will be to put some of these ideas in action and test them locally to see if they will improve mental health and wellbeing on the North Coast. To make sure these ideas meet the needs of our community, we will shortly be asking for more information about people’s experiences.
How can you help?
Over the next few weeks you will see some questions on Facebook and through our Community Newsletter, asking about your experiences with mental health and wellbeing. Please answer as many questions as you like, we really want to hear what worked well for you, what didn’t, and any suggestions you may have.
You do not need to provide your name or contact information when responding.
