About this evaluation
In 2019, the NSW districts and networks received enhancement funding (for the period 2019/20 – 2020/21) to improve the Out of Home Care Health Pathway Program (OOHC HPP) effectiveness and impact. The purpose of the funding was to:
- increase health planning (2a and 2b assessments and Health Management Plans), care coordination, reviews and leaving care health assessments and;
- expand eligibility of the HPP to include those children in statutory care prior to 2010 with significant health issues
In November 2021, the Ministry engaged Nous Group (Nous) to conduct a process and impact evaluation of the enhancement funding, as well as a costing appraisal. This evaluation relates to activities conducted during the period of 2019/20 to 2021/22.
This evaluation is critical to understand the value of the OOHC HPP funding enhancement and will inform decisions about future program funding enhancements, including opportunities for improved service delivery and future research and evaluation.
What is the purpose of the survey?
The survey is to understand your views on enhancement implementation and its impact on the OOHC HPP functioning and service delivery. Representatives from NSW health services and OOHC Non-Government Organisations (NGOs) to participate in this survey.
Thank you in advance for your time and your continued collaboration.
