Last night, we presented 20 Healthy North Coast iPhones to the Rotary Club of Byron Bay for their DV Safephone program.
These phones will be repurposed and distributed to people escaping family violence so that they can be free of contact from those threatening to harm them.
Locally, these phones are distributed via Fletcher Street Cottage in Byron Bay, and soon through other similar agencies.
20 phones = 20 lives freer of threat, and potentially 20 lives saved.
Rotary President Vanessa Wood thanked Healthy North Coast for the large donation to one of Rotary’s most significant focus areas, and noted that partnerships with organisations like HNC amplify community impact and strengthen the good work done by so many.
