Gidget Foundation Australia (GFA) is the leading national provider of free specialist perinatal mental health services. They offer individual psychological counselling sessions (up to 10 sessions) for expectant and new parents, available face-to-face and via telehealth at various locations across NSW, QLD, VIC, WA, and TAS.

Who are their services for?
Gidget House is available to any expectant and new parents who have a diagnosis of or are at risk of developing a perinatal mood or anxiety disorder, and who are pregnant or have a baby up to 12 months old.
Support is also provided to those who have experienced a pregnancy or childbirth-related loss, such as stillbirth, miscarriage, or termination, within the last 12 months. Partners can access our specialised services as well.
How to refer:
- Payment for services at Gidget House is covered by Medicare through bulk-billing. To access this funding, a referral and a mental health care plan from a GP are required.
