The First 2000 Days of Life project will focus on the period from conception to age five. The project will develop partnerships across the health, education and community sectors. Partners will work together to design and deliver early intervention initiatives that support families and children. The focus will be on developing coordinated and person-centred services, and working collaboratively to build a healthy foundation for life. The service needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities will be a particular focus.
This project is a partnership between Tresillian, the Northern NSW Local Health District, North Coast Primary Health Network and Bulgarr Ngaru Medical Aboriginal Corporation.
Tresillian is now advertising the role of First 2000 Days Project Manager to be located in the Clarence Valley region for three years. The Project Manager will build partnerships, engage stakeholders and coordinate initiatives that support the social, health and cultural needs of families in the Clarence Valley.
The First 2000 Days Project Manager position has now been advertised on I work for NSW. This is a temporary full time position, 38 hours per week.
Applications close 11 June 2019.
There is overwhelming evidence that shows if we are going to make real improvements in the health and wellbeing of children and families, the key is to get the first 2000 days right.
