An additional 17 general practices will begin providing COVID-19 vaccines to North Coast residents this month.
This follows the Australian Government’s recent call for expressions of interest to expand participation in the COVID-19 vaccination program.
The new general practices are located throughout the region, including at Laurieton, Port Macquarie, South Kempsey, Moonee, Woolgoolga, Grafton, Lismore, Ballina, Byron Bay, Pottsville and Terranora.
They are scheduled to commence vaccinating from 21 June, joining more than 110 general practices currently rolling out vaccines on the North Coast.
There are presently more than 4,600 primary care vaccination sites Australia-wide, including 4,400 general practices. This latest Australian Government expansion will add up to 900 additional sites.
