Healthy North Coast is seeking proposals from suitably qualified and experienced consultants, researchers or academics to develop and conduct a process and outcome evaluation of the Mid and North Coast HealthPathways program.
HealthPathways is a web-based platform designed and written for use during a consultation to offer clinicians locally agreed information to make the right decisions, together with patients, at the point of care.
The platform is delivered by a collaboration of Healthy North Coast, the Mid North Coast Local Health District and the Northern NSW Local Health District. It was first developed in Canterbury, New Zealand and the approach has been adopted by other health services in New Zealand, Australia and the UK.
The Mid and North Coast HealthPathways site was first commissioned in 2014. It has now produced over 500 localised pathways and is used by more than 1,200 clinicians per month.
As the program matures in our region, it is now necessary to reflect on which aspects of HealthPathways are most effective in supporting the overall value of the program and opportunities for improving and further embedding the platform in health services across the region.
The evaluation of the program is an exciting opportunity for a researcher with a passion for making the health system work better. Please consider submitting an application or forwarding on to those that may be suitable and interested.
