Provider Connect Australia (PCA) is a free initiative from the Australian Digital Health Agency (ADHA) that takes the admin out of managing your business information. Rather than updating your details across multiple platforms, PCA lets you do it once and share it securely with connected business partners, saving your team time and reducing the risk of outdated information across the system.
Healthcare provider participation is essential to the continued growth and success of PCA. We encourage your organisation to register today.
PCA is currently live and operating, with 47 registered business partners already connected to the platform. These include secure messaging vendors such as Telstra Health, healthcare directories like Healthdirect, clinical software providers such as Harmonie Health, as well as professional bodies, associations, and PHNs. Recent updates
Recent updates have focused on improving usability and giving organisations more control over how they connect and share information, including greater flexibility in selecting relevant business partners and improving how information flows across the network.
These changes support PCA’s long-term goal of accurate, consistent information across the health system, building on existing integration with the National Health Services Directory (NHSD), and paving the way for future connections with hospitals, pathology providers, and other key parts of the sector.
As part of our ongoing work with ADHA, we have recently been speaking with healthcare providers to identify business partners that would bring the most value to the network. This work has been focused on expanding PCA’s partner network and moving the platform closer to standard practice across the sector for everyone.
As more providers and business partners join PCA, its value across the sector will continue to grow. We encourage your organisation to take part in this growth and can support you throughout the registration process. Email our Digital Health team at digitalhealth@hnc.org.au for any questions.
