After a cancer diagnosis, people usually have lots of questions, such as:
- What sort of cancer is it?
- What is the best treatment?
- What are the side effects of treatment?
Although some questions spring to mind easily, sometimes people don’t know what to ask. Cancer Council’s new downloadable guide provides a handy checklist of common questions people affected by cancer might want to ask their doctors. Questions are separated into different stages of the cancer experience: diagnosis, tests, treatment, side effects, clinical trials, after treatment, and advanced cancer.

The guide also includes some tips about talking with doctors, and space to write down other questions.
