Learn how local GPs can support RACFs for a possible outbreak in the Hastings Macleay area
Thursday 10 December 2020
6pm – 8:30pm
Rydges Port Macquarie
(includes two-course dinner)
Healthy North Coast has a key role in supporting RACFs and primary care providers in the preparedness and response to a COVID-19 outbreak.
Since March, we have been working with RACF managers across the region, along with the Public Health Unit and Mid North Coast Local Health District to assist with their preparedness in the event of a COVID-19 outbreak.
Learnings and state directives to date have led to the region’s response. Included in this has been the development of Healthy North Coast’s GP Framework of Coverage for an RACF Outbreak.
We invite you to join us for dinner to learn more about this framework, cross-sector communication activities, and the preparations that have been occurring for an RACF COVID-19 outbreak in the Hastings Macleay area. Please book early, as places are limited.
Joining us for the evening will be Dr Steven Chung, a respiratory physician based in Port Macquarie. Dr Chung will be sharing with us his experience with COVID-19 cases in the local community. We’ll also explore local learnings from Dorothy Henderson Lodge and Newmarch House, state-driven LHD initiatives and state and Commonwealth protocols, scenario testing, zoning and cohorting staff, vaccination updates and other outbreak initiatives.
